چکیده

The purpose of this essay is to provide an overview of the dynamics of pattern formation in solidifying systems. The primary focus is dendritic crystallization during the solidiication of a pure melt. A review is given of the classic experiments performed on succinonitrile. The standard model of solidiication is then introduced and the steady state Ivantsov solution is discussed. The use of the marginal stability hypothesis and solvability theory to investigate the actual operating state (growth rate and shape) of dendrites is summarized. The essay concludes with a discussion of the use of phase-eld models to numerically simulate dentritic growth.

DIFFERENTIATION OF MONOCYTE DERIVED DENDRITIC CELLS IN SERUM FREE CONDITIONS

Human peripheral blood monocytes (HPBM) were cultured in the absence of human serum and were converted into a state exhibiting a high accessory function expressed by their ability of supporting lymphocyte proliferation. After a prolonged culture in serum free media the monocyte derived cells were highly viable, increased in size and developed veils and dendritiform elongatio'l1s. Paralleli...

Atomistic and continuum modeling of dendritic solidification

Due to its technological importance, modeling of dendrite growth in pure metals and alloys remains a significant challenge in the field of materials science. In this review recent achievements in the dendrite modeling problem, using two distinct length scale approaches, are summarized. At the nanometer scale, molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo techniques have been developed to extract two impor...

Molecular Docking Based on Virtual Screening, Molecular Dynamics and Atoms in Molecules Studies to Identify the Potential Human Epidermal Receptor 2 Intracellular Domain Inhibitors

Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family having tyrosine kinase activity. Overexpression of HER2 usually causes malignant transformation of cells and is responsible for the breast cancer. In this work, the virtual screening, molecular docking, quantum mechanics and molecular dynamics methods were employed to study protein–ligand ...

Reinforcement learning based feedback control of tumor growth by limiting maximum chemo-drug dose using fuzzy logic

In this paper, a model-free reinforcement learning-based controller is designed to extract a treatment protocol because the design of a model-based controller is complex due to the highly nonlinear dynamics of cancer. The Q-learning algorithm is used to develop an optimal controller for cancer chemotherapy drug dosing. In the Q-learning algorithm, each entry of the Q-table is updated using data...

The X-Linked Autism Protein KIAA2022/KIDLIA Regulates Neurite Outgrowth via N-Cadherin and δ-Catenin Signaling

Our previous work showed that loss of the KIAA2022 gene protein results in intellectual disability with language impairment and autistic behavior (KIDLIA, also referred to as XPN). However, the cellular and molecular alterations resulting from a loss of function of KIDLIA and its role in autism with severe intellectual disability remain unknown. Here, we show that KIDLIA plays a key role in neu...
